DC Early EdX is by educators, for educators. Sessions are tailored to the interests of early childhood educators (ages 0 – 8) and breakout sessions will be focused on providing content based on the age groups of children and the role of the educator. Attendees of DC Early EdX are typically early learning practitioners, teachers, assistant teachers, administrators, program support staff, family engagement staff, directors, assistant directors, owners, and principals.
If you do not fall into one of these categories, then DC Early EdX might not be the right professional development opportunity for you.

DC Early EdX 2025 will be held at the Marriott Marquis in Washington, D.C. (901 Massachusetts Ave NW) on Friday, April 11, 2025. The Marriott Marquis is accessible from multiple metro and bus lines. Parking will not be provided.

If you created a Group Registration Code before registration filled, but did not yet register your staff – don’t worry. Their spots have been saved, and you have until Friday, March 21, to register them. Please note: If they are not registered by this deadline, the spots will be released and will go to someone on the waitlist.
In-person registration will not be available at the event.

You can earn up to 7 professional development hours by attending DC Early EdX. Attendees must participate for the entire day (9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.) in order to receive the maximum number of professional development hours. Participation will be tracked and certificates will be distributed via email after the event for eligible attendees.

You can request a subsidy reimbursed closure for a professional development day from OSSE. Download the Appendix D form here. Follow the instructions to complete the form and submit it to your Education Services Monitor by Tuesday, March 18.
You must register all of your staff prior to submitting the form. Space is limited and we expect registration to fill quickly. We recommend utilizing the group registration feature.
