Aisha Tyehimba is a licensed professional counselor (LPC) who lives and practices in Washington, DC. She obtained a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Trinity Washington University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education from the University of the District of Columbia. Alongside ten years working in the field of mental health, Ms. Tyehimba has 24 years of experience in teaching and learning, from Early Childhood to college level learners. She is the owner and primary clinician for her practice, Healing Matters, where the mission is to depathologize the very specific human experience of living in the United States. Talking and listening are her super powers and her expertise has been sought after to function as panelist, facilitator, keynote speaker, and Master of Ceremony from pop culture conversations to the spectrum of mental health and wellness.
