Dominique Charlot-Swilley, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor, Senior Research Policy at the Center for Child & Human Development, Department of Pediatrics at the Georgetown University School of Medicine, and the Director of Provider Wellbeing for Early Childhood Innovation Network (ECIN). Dr. Charlot-Swilley’s work is co-situated in early childhood and pediatric primary care. She has over two decades of experience working with infants, toddlers, and their families in Washington, DC, Baltimore, MD and Miami, FL. In this capacity, Dr. Charlot-Swilley has been dedicated to intervention science that focuses on provider well-being, social emotional learning, and early relational health. As a community-based researcher and mindfulness mediation teacher the issues of social justice, systems equity are relevant in her work as well as recognizing and incorporating indigenous knowledge systems in data practices. She co-founded and co-developed the Certificate in Infant, Early Childhood and Family Mental Health: Family Leadership Track for parents, caregivers, and community members to become frontline community mental health workers. Dr. Charlot-Swilley also developed CPR2 Compassion, Practice, Relationship, & Restoration, a wellness group-based intervention to promote the wellbeing of early childhood and pediatric providers. Her wellness work has extended to co-creating an online platform for behavioral health providers to assess their individual and organizational wellbeing and engage in continuous quality improvement.
