Petrea Hicks
Petrea Hicks, M. Ed. is the owner of XYZ Childhood Training LLC, an International Accreditors for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) early education professional development training company. Hicks creates and conducts training workshops at the local and state levels. She has also presented at National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). She is an approved trainer with the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) and the Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE), Division of Early Learning in Washington, D.C.
Petrea’s mission is to provide research-based training workshops that include brain development, social-emotional wellness, and inclusionary practices. Her role is to be the support system that so many early childhood professionals need to remain abreast of current practices and policies. She also considers herself a lifelong learner — learning all that she can in order to support children in every way possible.
