Sheila George
Sheila George is currently the Early Literacy Specialist and coordinator of the Opening the Gift-Preschool Traveling Library outreach story time at Harford County Public Library in Maryland. Sheila graduated from Millersville University in Pennsylvania with a degree in Education. Previously Sheila was the Senior Curriculum Specialist for Children Discovering Their World, a series of early childhood curricula developed by the Center for Early Childhood Education and Intervention (CECEI) at the University of Maryland. She has also worked as a family child care provider, a supervisor of a family support program, a preschool teacher and director, and as a before and after school program director. She is also an MSDE-approved trainer and a Zero to Three faculty consultant trainer. Sheila has enjoyed working with children and students of all ages in a variety of educational settings for over 25 years.
