Shyrelle Eubanks is the Senior Policy Analyst for School Readiness at the National Education Association (NEA), responsible for the development of policy, programmatic and advocacy initiatives both within and outside of NEA. Prior to her work at NEA, Dr. Eubanks was an Associate Professor in the Early Childhood Department of Prince George’s Community College, Largo, Maryland. Shyrelle is also a former Training Development Coordinator for the Massachusetts Office of Child Care Services (OCCS) where she worked OCCS staff to provide diversity training as well as, child care resource and referral agencies to ensure quality training and educational opportunities for family child-care providers in African American and Hispanic communities. Mrs. Eubanks is also a former pre-kindergarten and kindergarten teacher.
Shyrelle received a Doctor of Education in Education Policy from the University of Maryland, a Master of Arts in Child Development from Tufts University, Medford, Massachusetts and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Early Childhood and Lower Elementary Education from Xavier University of New Orleans.
